Founded in 2003, SONNEMAN® – A Way of Light is a tribute to contemporary lighting design as seen through the creative mind and lens of Robert Sonneman. From the late 1960’s, Robert Sonneman pioneered modern lighting, making it an art form. World-renowned and acclaimed for clean lines and an alliance to form and function, Sonneman’s award-winning pieces have been at the design forefront for over four decades.

Working in New York, Milan and Tokyo resulted in selling designs worldwide under the SONNEMAN name since 1967. Although internationally influenced, Sonneman is committed to developing a contemporary style from a uniquely American point of view. His work has been exhibited in major museums, exhibitions on design, galleries and shows in the United States and internationally.

Currently featured in more than 2,000 lighting showrooms worldwide with over 30 dedicated product galleries, SONNEMAN® – A Way of Light continues to develop and evolve with innovative new product introductions each year.


We are looking for a talent with excellent skills in the graphic arts and a knowledge or background in the creative arts from architecture to interiors who will oversee projects from concept to production. This is a challenging position for an organized self-starter with a can-do approach. Must work in-house at our Westchester, NY studio location full-time or freelance.

The individual must have extensive techniques from catalog development to sales presentations, for the recognized leading contemporary lighting design firm. The designer will work with our marketing and design team to develop and deliver the design book design through finished art.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or in related field
- At least 3 years of experience in relevant field
- InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Powerpoint and Keynote (Knowledge of Prezi a plus)

Preferred:
- Background in creative arts, architecture, interiors, and/or photography
